NLangley Counselling was established in 2013 and offers a service to the local community at a reasonable cost. It also aims to support the professional community with the provision of CPD workshops and discussion groups.
The service is owned and run by Nick Langley who, since qualifying as a Counsellor in Jan 2012, has continuously developed his role, becoming qualified in teaching and clinical supervision.
Nick offers an open-ended, integrative Counselling service for individuals. As well as a face to face setting, NLangley Counselling
offers an Outdoor Counselling service, using the gorgeous walks around Hythe to complement the therapeutic process.
He has strong ties to New Romney Counselling Services and has worked with them and their clients in long-term Counselling for several years, as well as conducting assessment sessions for new clients.
In terms of his teaching career, he started working with a level 3 Counselling group initially and then, following a successful first year, was then offered an established position as a Lecturer of Counselling. He has been training Counsellors ever since, working with students at all levels, from beginners to level 4 Trainees. He currently holds a contract with ‘Thoros – Centre for Therapy’ Learning and is course-lead for their Counsellor Training Programme covering levels 2 to 4. He designed and implemented the curriculum for these courses, of which have since gained recognition from the National Counselling Society.
